Take Lead Impact

Co-Founder & Director | 2022–Present

A youth leadership nonprofit combining research, storytelling, and digital tools to help young people lead with confidence and purpose.

  • Take Lead Impact is a youth leadership nonprofit I founded to help students build confidence, leadership skills, and a strong sense of voice. We create programming and resources that blend mentorship, research, and digital storytelling—so young people can turn their ideas into action and see themselves as leaders.

  • What I do as Co-Founder & Director

    • Lead program strategy, curriculum design, and community partnerships

    • Manage branding, communications, and storytelling across web + social

    • Design and publish content experiences (website, digital resources, media)

    • Coordinate volunteers/mentors and oversee operations from planning to delivery

I own the end-to-end “user experience” of Take Lead—from the way people discover us, to the way participants move through resources and programs.

    • Designed and led a cohort-based program model in which students conducted research-driven projects aligned to four initiative tracks: Environmental Justice, Health Disparities, Education Equity, and Mental Health.

    • Guided student cohorts to identify community needs, conduct background research, and translate findings into action-oriented projects, connecting academic inquiry to real-world impact.

    • Supported Environmental Justice cohorts in researching environmental inequities and organizing park clean-up initiatives at Branch Brook Park (Newark, NJ) and Brandywine Park (Wilmington, DE).

    • Led Health Disparities cohorts in researching food insecurity and community health needs, culminating in a fundraising initiative that raised $1,262, with $630 donated to Isaiah House (East Orange, NJ).

    • Guided Education Equity cohorts in researching disparities in access to educational resources and representation, resulting in book donation initiatives supporting local libraries in underserved communities.

    • Supported Mental Health cohorts in researching mental health stigma and well-being, leading to a community-based affirmation campaign promoting empathy, connection, and open dialogue.

    • Developed written and digital storytelling content documenting student research, reflections, and outcomes, and published impact narratives through the organization’s website.

    • Managed end-to-end program execution, including cohort facilitation, research guidance, outreach, fundraising coordination, and community engagement.

    • Product thinking: turning needs into programs + digital experiences

    • Web design/development: content structure, usability, accessibility

    • Brand + storytelling: messaging, visual hierarchy, narrative clarity

    • Operations + leadership: planning, coordination, community engagement

    • Stakeholder management: partners, mentors, participants, volunteers
